The MIAA released new football power ratings on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Put all 262 programs on that one statewide scale and Mansfield (5-0, Division 3, rating 28.13) stays No. 1 in the Massachusetts 16, ahead of Catholic Memorial and Scituate. Since the previous release, the biggest climb belongs to Saint John's, up 8 to No. 5; Wachusett Regional, Tewksbury Memorial, Andover and Franklin enter the 16; Springfield Central (was No. 8), Xaverian Brothers (was No. 12), Norwell (was No. 14) and Shawsheen Valley Tech (was No. 15) drop out.

About these rankings
The MIAA rating is a team's average margin of victory, capped at plus or minus 14 points per game, plus the average rating of its opponents. Because it is computed across every game in the state, it is one scale for all eight divisions, and the Massachusetts 16 is simply the top 16 on it. The MIAA updates the ratings on Tuesdays and Fridays in season; the full rankings and all eight divisions update the same day.
