The MIAA released new football power ratings on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. Put all 262 programs on that one statewide scale and St. John's Prep (6-0, Division 1, rating 28.66) moves up to No. 1 from No. 7 in the Massachusetts 16, ahead of Catholic Memorial and Scituate. Since the previous release, the biggest climb belongs to Central Catholic, up 7 to No. 7; Springfield Central, King Philip Regional and Franklin enter the 16; Melrose (was No. 9), Bridgewater-Raynham (was No. 15) and Shawsheen Valley Tech (was No. 16) drop out.

The MIAA rating is a team's average margin of victory, capped at plus or minus 14 points per game, plus the average rating of its opponents. Because it is computed across every game in the state, it is one scale for all eight divisions, and the Massachusetts 16 is simply the top 16 on it. The MIAA updates the ratings on Tuesdays and Fridays in season; the full rankings and all eight divisions update the same day.
